Heart rate monitor help

I'm thinking of getting a heart rate monitor, how do they differ?

Are they all pretty basic?

    Depends what you want to use them for. They all have many different features and price points. What do you want to use it for and what's your budget?

    I just want to make sure that I'm not overdoing my workouts

    I have a polar ft4 and it very easy to use and reliable. Not too expensive either!

    i got a pink watch ft4 monitor for my b day last year! thing is amaze!

    I have the F4 also. Very easy to use. Inexpensive. I've had it for a couple years now, it's very durable.
