almost 60 and trying to lose 100 pounds

Hi, I'm 59 years old and started working on weight loss on Feb 28 of this year. I've lost 45 pounds so far, so I'm almost at the half way mark. I use mfp and UP, both of which I've added in the last month. I'm on a low(ish) carb natural foods diet -- trying to keep the carbs under 45 per day. I try to walk 10,000 steps a day (usually successful) which they say is five miles. I do yoga 3 times a week, and do a bike ride once or twice a week, although it's hard right now due to heat and hurricane season (RAIN!).
I'm looking for some similar friends for mutual support on this long path.

Thanks Garden Girlie! I've had friends in the past encourage me to try surgery, but, for one thing, I tend to get terrible internal scars from surgery, and, for another, that doesn't really do anything about food/sugar addiction, does it?0
