Hi!! I'm a bit new to all this, have been using my fitness pal religiously tho!!
I really need some help & motivation - 2 weeks ago I started this new diet - I currently come in on the scales at 215lbs, I'm 5ft 5 and 25 years old. I've always been overweight - tried lots of diets but never as seriously as this before!! So I've been having impact diet whey for breakfast & lunch, eating fruit & nuts in between & dinner has been a healthy lean meat and veg. I can't lie there's been a couple of treats - a marshmallow & an Oreo. I haven't really gone over 1200 calories. I've also conquered my fears and joined the gym, going every other day for 40 mins to an hour. I really thought I'd see a tiny difference, but there's been nothing - I just don't understand, what am I doing wrong??
To top it off I've come down with a terrible cold (and the monthly gift from mother nature has arrived) and so I can't go to the gym which is gutting as I am actually enjoying working out!!! Don't want to lose momentum!!
What can I do next?!

Is 1200 calories enough? What does MFP say you should be consuming based on the stats you entered? You could possibly be eating too little, which can be just as detrimental to weight loss as eating too much.
Also, 2 weeks is a short amount of time. How long did it take you to put ON the weight? I'm assuming if you're anything like me, it's a period of time measured in years rather than weeks! If you took a while to put it on then don't expect to lose it in a few hours. You should feel better for how you are doing with changing your lifestyle even if the numbers aren't what you want them to be yet. They will be over time.0 -
Hmm that does sound odd the only thing I could think of would be that you are holding a lot of Water Weight from mother natures gift, sometimes it could be up to 5lbs of extra water!
So I wouldn't worry until that has past, keep on doing the good work and eventually you'll see results because it sounds like you are doing all of the right things!0 -
