So yeah lol my sister recommended me this website so i've decided to give it a go.
I started to do something about my obese weight when i turned 15 (i'm 16 now). Since i was a baby i've lived on top of a Fish and chips shop so it was always convenient for my parents to feed me the crap they had there, so i continued to put on weight. Going into school i was bullied a lot and i went to food for comfort which led to more weight gain.
Then when i turned 15, weighing at 18st 6lbs along came a "quick fix" diet. I managed to lose 6 stone on this diet and got down to 12st 14lbs. I then had to go to hospital for other reasons so i had to end the diet. The diet did however give me gallstones so i had to stop the diet.
my gallstones are gone now. But like most quick fixes after nearly a year i gained back most of my weight. Luckly i haven't gained all my weight back but i am however at 17st 12lbs, sooo not good...not good...
BUT as long as i'm not at 18st i will not be down (or at least i'm trying to tell myself that lol)
Right now i'm following the weight watchers plan, but mostly i'm just trying to learn to do things i usually don't do, even things i really hate, like weighing my food, going to fruit when i'm peckish, just making better decisions in general.
Well wish me luck lol next weigh in will be monday. ^_^

Good luck! Sounds like you are doing the right things, especially learning to track what you are eating and pay attention to choices. Be patient with yourself - as you have already found, it isn't easy and not always fast. if you make the changes and keep them up long term, you'll drop the weight and keep it off.
Best!
