Motivational Thoughts

Options
I am new on this site and just starting out on my weight loss journey. I thought it would be fun to share some of my motivational thoughts. Things that I can't wait to do when I am healthier and hear from others what thoughts motivate them.

My top motivational thoughts.

1. Keeping up with my new daughter as we both get older.
2. Fitting comfortably in airplane seat when I travel.
3. Fitting into a roller coaster seat again and riding said roller coaster.
4. Going to a restaurant and not getting stressed when they offer me a booth.. lol.
5. Going to the beach or pool and feeling relaxed with my shirt off

I have to imagine that most people have thoughts like these that keep them going when the going gets tough. Love to hear yours.

    2. I want to join in and win the mummys race at sports day!
    3. I want to be here when my kids grow up.

I actually agree with all of these but I think my favourite one was "being able to sit comfortably in an airplane seat when I travel". I went on my honeymoon in May and had to ask for the extender seat belt. I was mortified. Good for you hun! :D We will all do it! :D

    1. Apply to military what I have dreamed for long while, my dream job.
    2. To be able to play soccer with friends without me standing and guarding gate all the time cos I tire too fast and not able to run. Do other fun stuff like play tennis, go and do a race, etc.
    3. Just to feel energetic and healthy and not tired and sick all the time.
    4. To look good and be proud of my body.

    I'd say that mine were:

    1. To look super sexy in a bikini for at least the last festival of the summer.
    2. Because the other day my ridiculously skinny housemate called me fat and she's a DOUCHE.
    3. Because i have a pair of jeans that almost fit me, and i am determined that one day, i will fit into them, and on that day i'll be happy.

    All wonderful motivators. Mine are:

    1. Learning to love the skin I'm in.
    2. Emotional health as well as physical
    3. Not having to shop at plus stores
    4. Keeping up with, and going beyond the success I've already had
    5. Being the fit friend/sister

And jdhoward_101, words of wisdom you can tell your skinny roommate,

"Skinny girls look good in clothes. Fit girls look good naked!"

    Good luck everyone!!!

    1. To weigh less than my boyfriend (vanity...I know)
    2. To wear jeans with my shirt tucked in and a belt!
    3. To not be intimidated at the pool (or worried that I will run into a student)
    4. To be present in my life now...not when I lose weight

You read my mind! I've been terrified of riding an airplane until now. I have two daughters, and we recently went to Disney, and I was able to fit on the rides (I about passed out!)!! Going to restaurants: couldn't fit in the booths at all. Hated having to give them the "what are you, stupid?" look and ask for a table. Just yesterday, I promised my 6 year old that the next time we go to Disney, I'll be able to get into the pool with them.

Our new goal is to go to Disney in 2016. My plan is to lose the rest of the weight (about 100 pounds) and have skin removal surgery. The plan is to lose the weight, have the surgery, and recover from the surgery in time to go on that trip - and be able to take the plane if we so desire!

"To be present in my life now, not when I lose weight."

    I absolutely love that one.
