What are your MUST HAVE items in this wonderful "healthy eating" world and why?
My Favs are;
1. Nature's Own Double Fiber Bread (100 calories and 10 grams fiber per 2 slices)
2. Nestle Coffee-mate Sugarfree French Vanilla (15 calories per tbsp - makes my coffee smile and me too)
3. Ken's Light Honey Mustard (To give it up all together would be to divorce chicken and that is NOT going to happen):noway: .
4. Steamfresh and Fresh Express Veggies (ANY flavors - fast, low calorie, and filling when you have only a few calories left in your eating budget)
5. "Walker & Sons" Slap Ya Mama Cajun Seasoning - DELISH on anything! Put me in the movie ALIVE w/ a box of this and I might eat live people (lol).

Green Giant Simply Steamers are the best! All types of vegetables with some sort of sauce usually for between 100 and 150 calories. Just 4 minutes 30 seconds in the microwave. When I lost weight before, I used to eat these all the time for lunch (and then have a snack later in the afternoon). Easy and delicious!

Another staple I greatly appreciate is some type of flavoring for my water because the extra flavor causes me to drink more water. And usually the more water I drink, the more weight I seem to lose.

I told my Husband today, I could live off these things, with the exception of an antipasto tray sampling at family gatherings. But seriously....

~Chicken (breast, rotisserie chicken, wings with fat/skin removed, etc.)
    ~Salmon
    ~FAGE 0% Greek Yogurt
~Smuckers Natural Peanut Butter (soon to be PB2 for less fat & cals)
    ~Cocopop Multigrain rice cakes
~Deli Meat (Reduced fat ham, turkey, & roast beef)
~Nonfat/Reduced fat cheese (mozzarella, feta, pepperjack, etc.)
    ~Corn tortillas/ fat free tortillas
    ~Vegetables
    ~Fruit
    ~Pure Protein Bars
    ~Skim milk
    ~Coffee

    Yep!

My biggest staple is low-fat yogurt--like eating dessert, but less sugar and more protein. Best invention ever, in my opinion. I also like apples and peanut butter (which I first heard about on MFP), those little cans of flavoured tuna, and whole-wheat crackers with cheese. And on days when I really need a sweet fix, I go for diet soda, and that's enough to "overload" me so I don't want sweet anymore.

Nothing happens without coffee! I use low-fat cream 3 tablespoons a day in it (1 per cup)

On my shopping list every week:

    chicken breasts
    salad greens
frozen vegies (cauli, broc, green beans)
    frozen shrimp
    baby carrots
    celery
    tomatoes
    yogurt
    berries of some sort
    peaches or plums
    eggs

    I keep in the freezer:

    salmon filets
    talapia filets
    chicken wings
    turkey breast
    steaks
  • Fiber one cereal with skim milk (this helps curb my sweet tooth)
Kalamata olive or red pepper hummus with raw carrots (fills me up and keeps me full)
    chicken
    black beans
    bagel thins (whole wheat) toasted
    einstein bagels veggie cream cheese
turkey (I eat this sandwich regularly...the bagel with cream cheese and turkey)
    almonds
broccoli steamed and then lightly fried in a T of olive oil with crushed almonds and feta cheese
