Maintenance makes me nervous...

I have been the same weight for a month now, only weighing myself twice in June. I am 3 pounds away from what was my goal and have decided that I like how I look and feel and that it's time to start trying to maintain my current weight. What makes me nervous about the maintaining part is making my way into eating more calories. After eating less than 1500 calories a day for three months, I can't help but fret when I think about eating 1900 calories again.
Basically what I'm asking is: has anyone else who has started maintain weight come across anything like this? And if so, what has helped you get over the new calorie number?

How about if you increase your calories slowly instead of going up to 1900 cals/day right away? You can go somewhere in the middle, like 1700 cals for a week or two, then see how you are feeling physically and if the scale starts moving upwards (which I doubt it will), then cut back a few calories downard. I'm all for doing "baby steps" with maintenence.0
