New Kid On The Block

Hi y'all, after searching for diet plans and programs, like Weight Watchers, I stumbled across this place and was impressed with all the positive reviews so I thought I'd give it a try.

Me, a 56 year old male, 5'7" 180 lb, diabetic that needs to lose at least another 20 pounds, 30 would be better according to my cardiologist.

I workout 5-6 days a week doing HIIT cardio and strength training with dumbbells and kettlebells. I also run 1/2 marathons, have completed 11 events since 2009 when I started long distance running.

My diet is mostly low carb to keep the diabetes under control, which I have been able to manage with diet and exercise alone, no meds or insulin for the past 6 years since I was diagnosed.

I manged to lose 35 lbs initially, 195 down to 160, but 20 pounds found its way back, even with the workouts and diet I hit a plateau, never got below 160, and slowly some of it came back. Now I need to get serious to get the 43 inch waist back down to a healthy size.
