In need of more friends

i started just a few days ago and was already told in no uncedrtain terms that i need alot more friends and i've found that she's right. My home page is a little blank.
so if you need a frined please consider me
i have 70lbs to lose (it was 72 but i've lost 2 yeah!!)
i currently weigh 220 and i look good and am healthy at about 150 so that's my goal for now - we'll see how i feel about it at 150 - i sure hope i can make it there - i guess i weill eventually if i keep it up - it's hard when you don't get immediate results - ya know a little boost would be great - since i weigh so much i thought i'd lose like 8 lbs the first week but it's not lookin like that's gonna happen. In fact it may be that i was already eating only 1200 cals cuz so far my diet has changed only in the respect that i'm using less oil and way les sugar - hopefully that'll do the trick
does anyone have any special little tips
maybe one of you would like to be friends - that would be great

Hey, I'll add you. I just started a few days ago and I need more friends too. I have 40 pounds to go....Good luck!
My meals are about 400 calories each and I try to get 1600 calories a day. The 400 calories are 50g carbs, 25g proteins, and 10g fats. Complex carbs, lean proteins, and good fats like olive oil, avocados, nuts, and nut butters.
I eat about every 4 hours....and I do really well when I stick to this.0 -
've thought about it but not tried - i''ve heard it's not good to limit all carbs - my mom once did it and then one day decided to cheat at a party she had a piece or lemon merengue pie and passed out - haha - not funny i know but you can foold you're body too much if you're not careful - so i think low carbs with all carbs being complex or made whole wheat is what i'm going to stick to unless you can convice me otherwise - convince me please - tell me you had unbelieveable results and fast - i'd love to hear your story0

yeah its not realistic to eat no carbs. My husband and I do Atkins, and we eat 20 g of carbs a day....good carbs.....I feel much better eating this way. But to each their own......let me know if you need any help....................0

Hi.
I can relate to how you're feeling. I was 245lbs and would like to lose about 90lbs. I have been dieting since June with little to no results. I tried all types of fad diets. Then a trainer friend of mine suggested I do a 14 day cleanse to kick start my diet. Basically it releases the salt, toxins and excessive water in your system. It's very strict and hard to get used to at first but I lost 15 lbs and so far so good. I finish the program this weekend. I have more energy and I look forward to doing the work outs. Being on my fitness pal really helps. My regular diet will be a low carb diet. I found that by cutting out sugars and salt has really helped. The best advise I received is to have high carb days and low carb days, that way you don't feel starved. Eating 4 meals a day and eating your carbs in the first two meals have worked.

I think this is the healthiest way of losing weight. Fair play to you that you stick to it I'm also trying to eat regularly (every 3-4 hours), stick to brown rice and whole-wheat pasta, have chickpeas, lentils, tofu and Quorn products for protein (the book "Eating Animals" kind of put me off meat for a while - we'll se for how long) and I loooove Avocados.
Anyway, I'm in need of some more friends, too, so I added you

Hey Ill add you. I have to lose roughly the same amount of weight as you we can help each other along. :drinker:
I have friends who have completely cut out carbs or took too little in and it gave nothing but health problems. At my job there is a nutritionist (I work in rugby) and she has told me that everyone needs carbs in their diet in moderation of course. she gave me some great tips in regards to fluids also. I always thought that 2 and a half litres of water a day was good going. No no no she told me that for every kilo you weigh you should be drinking 35mls of fluids. Turns out I should be dring another litre on top of that 2 and a half litres and to be honest since I have started to do this I am finding that I dont binge as much, Im not as tired and losing weight because of it.
If she tells me anymore I will fill you in!

Thanks....The hardest part for me is when I run out of protein...I always have plenty of carbs and fat in the house lol. My meals plans come from Skinny Chicks Don't Eat Salad by Christine Avanti. She has some meals without meat also.0
