Hiya
Today is my first "fast" day and I was thinking about going for a short run this evening. Should I eat back my exercise calories?
Your thoughts and experiences appreciated! Cheers.

Did you set up your calories yourself or did you let MyFitnessPal do it for you?0

I was on the 5:2 diet and got the flu, so had to quit for a while. I don't think its recommended to eat back your exercise calories. There are two groups on here for the 5:2 that might be able to help more.0

The way the diet is designed you should only be eating the 500 calories (for a woman) or 600 (for a man).
It's certainly not the plan for me, several lives might be at risk if I restricted myself to 500 cals.0 -
Good luck! I don't eat back my exercise calories.....0

On a fasting day, no. On your non-fasting days you should be eating closer to your TDEE, so if you've got MFP set for 1200, definitely eat those back, and probably another couple hundred. You want your weekly calories to average out to whatever you would be at normally for weight loss without fasting.0
