I came across this this morning and thought it may be interesting for those of you who may not have seen it. Yes, the doctor presents some interesting points about insulin resistance but I was more interested in his ideas about the way we view obesity, and weight in general. I know I'm guilty of these judgements sometimes, but I thought this was a refreshing talk. Take a look if you'd like.

    Possibly.

However his issue with cause and effect seems off. Insulin resistance causes obesity, not the other way around? Perhaps they're BOTH symptoms and the actual cause is crappy diet and lack of exercise.

Possibly, but the more I learn about our food system and the food industry, the more I'm starting to see that the obesity epidemic isn't really just about the personal choices that people make, but that our entire environment sets us up to gain weight and live unhealthily.
