So, today is my first day counting calories on here... and I already cheated! I have NO motivation or self-control. Do any of you guys have any tips for staying on track and sticking to your plan?!? HELP! Thanks!

Simple.. you went over your calories today? now you have to make up for it tomorrow. if you did 200 or 300 calories more than you should have, subtract them from your calories tomorrow and punish yourself tomorrow. If you be sure to do that then you will stop cheating as you know you will only have to suffer for it tomorrow. Do not just "draw a line" under it today and just forget about it as I am sure some will suggest as this will only lead to more cheating in the future.
Real question is.. how much do you want this?0 -
every positive step is a good one, of course, so take the positives out of the good things you did today.
I love the suggestion above about being hard on your first slip up to teach yourself not to do it - how much were you over by? Remember - you're learning here0 -
You're just getting started. Try it for a week and see how you're doing.
A couple of things that help:
1. count your water too, and start out the day drinking two glasses of it. You'll be surprised what a difference it makes.
2. get tempting problem foods out of the house.
3. Make a plan and get the foods to fit that plan into your house.
You can do it.0
