Another Insanity Question...

OK, So this is my First Week of Insanity. Very Challenging- but overall, doable. I am only on day five, but sticking with it. My question is: Shaun T is always talking about contracting the core- or engaging the core. How in the heck do you do that. Flex your abs, suck in your tummy, or what? Sorry- this is a dumb question, but I truly don't know...

yes thats exactly it, whenever you do anything your abs should be flexed and your main strength should come from your torso, the center of your body. your main source of balance is a strong solid core.
when your abs are flexed they should not be flexed outward, they should be sucked in, and the muscle should be tight.
that trains your abs to go in instead of out.
does that make sense? lol0
