Got back from the Dr today and after stepping on his scale, I find I have lost 16 lbs over the past 5 weeks. Punching that new number into the calculator here at MFP, I now have lost over 100 calories a day of allowed eating. And to top it off, I went to my Runtastic program and entered my new weight into it. Now my runs are not burning as many calories either.....I guess that's a good thing, but I still like to eat.

And I mentioned to my Dr, I was getting flappy saggy skin on my arms, his suggestion was to start lifting weights and build some muscle to fill out the arms again. Sarcastic Dr's humph

None the less, I am very happy with the weight loss do far, only another 100 lbs to go

That's amazing! Congrats on having your hard work pay off. :)

I hated it too when I burned less after losing weight, but hey, I know I'm healthier and it's a lot easier to work out, in fact, it's easier to do most anything. :) You just have to adjust the amount of food or exercise more to keep eating what you were. You'll find a happy place, it just takes time.

Definite NSV! Just a side effect of healthy choices and a more efficient body. But yes, it does stink at some level.

I hesitate to put in new weights because I know it will lower my calories. I guess its a form of cheating. lol!

Great job!!!! As a side note, lifting weights as you are losing weigh helps to keep the flappy parts from becoming flappy. I won't totally get rid of it but it does help, and not for the reason the silly doc said. Keep up the good work!

Fantastic. Yes, your workouts are burning less, but any muscle you have built is burning more during the day (an probably more in the long run than in your workouts) Keep up the amazing hard work!

I called it a couple weeks ago when I mentioned to my wife that I had noticed the flabby bits. I said Dr. Doug was going to tell me to start lifting weights, He is as happy for me as I am.
