Hi there!
This is my first time on myfitnesspal- I have tried many other things before but I always lose the motivation. I'm looking for some buddies who are also starting out and so we could keep each other on the right track.
I'm 22, and looking to lose about 30/35 lbs at a rate of 2lbs per week (I'm currently at 165lbs).
Please feel free to add me

Hey girl!
I'm trying to lose weight too. It is definitely not easy! I'm part of an 'accountability' (open and honest with what we're doing well with and what we're struggling with) group with a few of my friends. I would be more than happy to be your friend and help encourage you and keep you on track!

Hi there, this is my first time on My fitness pal and i was looking to add some friends to help out with my experience and to help keep me motivated thru this. I'm 22 years old and looking to lose 50-60 lbs, i don't have a certain time that i would like to lose it by, but i'm trying for the 2lbs a week goal. So if you are good at encouraging people to stay on track please add me as a friend, and i will do the same for you!
Thanks!0 -

Hi I'm jessi, my first time as well.I'm 25 and Also hoping for the same thing as all of you. I've really struggled with my weight all my life. i've always been very active so it never made sense to me. I am also an alcoholic, was a daily drinker for 7 years. When I quit drinking almost 2 years ago, i realized the booze masked not only deep seeded emotional issues about my weight etc, but excruciating physical pain. turned out my back was all messed up. so over the past year and a half not only have i gained weight from being depressed from chronic pain and limited physically, quititng drinking, and quitting smoking cigarettes. i also had spine surgery a week ago today, on july 10th. it has been an INSANE journey. In trying to make sure i'm eating enough protein, etc, things to help my spine fuse, i came across this site. it has been SO helpful. My surgery was a success, and the leg/nerve pain that held me back for SOOO long is gone. I can walk farther than i'd been able to in almost 2 years, and that's less than a week after surgery! (so i'm not going to far lol) i'm prettty limited for the next couple weeks due to a lot of post op pain, surgical swelling, etc. and i can't bend, kneel, twist, reach, or lift more than 5 lbs. for the next 3-4 months. but i am determined to do every little thing i can every day. I feel like i have a second chance at life, and my body! I am so excited for my future, and i want to make sure i heal correctly. I've been SUPER hungry the past couple days, after not keeping any food down for 4 days after surgery...but its hard to tell what's a normal healthy appetite for post op, and what's my food addiction that i've had my entire life. I am on a LOT of meds, so i have rambled quite a bit lol. but i really hope to jjoin a group of people on here for support. Hope everyone is doing well. We are ALL beautiful and lovable just the way we are. It's about being healthy so we can fulfill all our dreams!
XOXOXO
Jessi0
