I think if you are eating and whatnot there is no danger. HOWEVER...my hubby had bad toothache a little while ago, couldn't eat, cold water made it feel better...ended up taking him to ER when I got home (thought he had a stroke)...he was on a saline drip for 3 hours. In short, if you are going to drink a ton of water, make sure you are eating too!0

i asked the very same question a few days ago because i am drinking at least 10 cups/day and everyone told me as long as i was feeling ok i should be fine. i looked it up and depending on my height and weight i am fine drinking that much. i know i didn't help much but maybe someone else knows more!0

I was in WW with a nurse who worked with the New England Patriots...and she had a few "horror stories" about water intoxication. It happens rarely, but it happens. According to WebMD.com:
How Much Is Enough?
The IOM report did not specify requirements for water but made general fluid intake recommendations based on survey data of 91 ounces (that's 11-plus cups a day) for women and 125 ounces (15-plus cups a day) for men. Remember, these guidelines are for total fluid intake, including fluid from all food and beverages.
So this is for TOTAL fluid intake.....remember foods, like lettuce, have more water in them. Also include milk, tea, etc.

I have heard of this quite a bit recently and this prompted me to have a nose online:

So therefore..... it's possible to drink too much, but in honesty it's highly unlikely- top tips from the above links: Don't forget to eat!!! and don't drink it in a really short space of time.... 8-12 glasses throughout the day is absolutely fine :-)0 -
I was talking with my mom yesterday and I mentioned that I had 6 bottles of water. Her response was "make sure you don't drowned." And when I did look up the height/weight water ratio. I'm fine.. But mother knows best lol. Thanks all0
