Calorie intake?

Should I really be eating only 1200 calories? I just recently recovered from an eating disorder, so I don't know I should slowly ease into eating more calories, but I work out 5-7 times a week, I bike to work, and I am on my feet all day at work and lift heavy items. Am I eating too little?

If you are using the MFP method, then you are supposed to increase your calories for the day based on exercise. 1200 would just be your base number. Say you burn 800 calories biking; you are therefore supposed to eat 1200 + 800 = 2000 calories for the day. MFP builds a deficit into the calories it provides, and exercising increases that deficit past a healthy point. If you are that active during the day, you should also make sure that you have not set your activity level to "sedentary" since this will under estimate how many calories you need before you even exercise. Hope that helps.0

Bottom line, don't net under 1200 calories. It's most likey better to even net 100 calories over 1200 than it is to net under by 100.0 -

Agree. Definitely set up your account with an accurate daily activity level then log your exercise separately and eat back those calories.0 -
