I've been seeing a lot of folks posting about Stronglifts, could someone please let me know what equipment I will need if I start it? Thanks :-)

A weightlifting bench, a squat rack or power rack, and an olympic style barbell with at least 150+ pounds of weight to start. Also, for two exercises in particular (the squat and deadlift) you will go up VERY quickly in the amount you can work with so you may need more weight for those exercises fairly soon.

    WORKOUT A

    Squat 5x5
    Bench Press 5x5
    Barbell Rows 5x5

    Workout B

    Squat 5x5
    Overhead press 5x5
    Deadlift 1x5

So barbell, squat rack, horizontal bench, and weight plates.

Or a gym membership to a gym that has a free weights section if you do not have space for this equipment.

barbell, plates, and some kind of squat rack/power cage. As for how many plates you need, that depends on how strong you get. I've been buying new ones from my local supermarket every time my deadlift gets good enough that I can lift the barbell with all the plates that I own on it. You also need a bench for the bench press.

I've been managing with a couple of bedside tables to use as a makeshift squat rack and a coffee table as a bench, and the larger plates that I have are made of rubber so if I drop the barbell it doesn't break, or break the floor. You need a way to safely drop the barbell, or to have someone spotting you. Most gyms have a power cage which has safety bars that will catch the barbell for you.

I'd rather have a power cage though....

    Yup ^^

I just put a setup together in June and started July 1st.

There is a "Strong Lifts 5x5" group here on MFP that you might also find helpful.
