fibromyalgia and turbo fire

ok, so I have had fibro for the last 15yrs and generally have it fairly well managed. however I have been trying to do turbo fire and when I say trying I mean I have followed it for about 2 days and then I just can't do it, my body is exhausted like never before and I am a very fit person who execerises for about 90mins 5-6 days a week. But my body just doesn't seem to want to adjust to TF. There's difinitely been no weight loss, but it hasn't gone up either. its mostly my feet and lower abdomen (it feels really bloated for the rest of the day & its not my diet I pretty much eat the same day after day.)
I have been trying on and off for the last 2-3 weeks. While im doing it I love it. I have done heaps of group fitness classes in the past and never had this happen.
Would love to know what you've experience with TF and Fibro. Also for anyone who has had fibro for a long time, has it gotten worse with age?

Hey - Just saw your post and wanted to comment. Aside from a quick Google search I just did, I have very little knowledge on fibro, how it affects the body and what kind of workouts are appropriate but I thought I'd share my own experience with the Turbo programs to maybe offer you a little encouragement.
Over 10 years ago, I started doing Turbo Jam and immediately was inspired by Chalene Johnson. I just idolize this woman! She is extremely knowledgeable and her positive energy is amazing! Anyway, I did it off and on for several years, and even took a break to try the gym for about a year. Keep in mind, this also involves falling off the wagon more than I'd like to admit. I always found myself going back to Turbo.
Last year I finally purchased TurboFire after trying it at a friend's house and loving how it was a little more athletically challenging than the Turbo Jam videos - and I was ready for that.
I have yet to complete the 90-day challenge, life just keeps getting in the way, but right now I'm very focused and dedicated. I recently attended Chalene's Camp Do More in Vegas and was totally inspired to make a commitment to my health and fitness goals.
I'm on day four of sticking to the schedule. I am already in pretty good shape but I can totally relate to how your body is feeling. Mine is exhausted right now! I wake up in the morning and I don't want to move. So hang in there and do the lo-impact (follow Alee) if you're really feeling your body isn't ready for full out. It truly is an intense program - as Chalene says, "It's no joke!" so if your body isn't feeling tired, you're not accomplishing anything. That said, I do not know much about your condition, so I hesitate to say, "don't worry, it's fine...totally normal." Also, make sure you have good footwear for shock absorption. Because of all of the jumping around, it can put a lot of stress on your joints. I cheaped out on runners last time - huge mistake!
As for losing weight, don't expect to see immediate results, which I know is frustrating and makes it hard to stay motivated. From my own experience, I usually do not start losing weight until about two weeks in. That's with doing the program at least 4 times a week, and following a healthy "diet" (I hate that word btw). This program builds muscle, which is heavier than fat. You need the muscle to burn the fat which is why you might not see any immediate results on the scale. I have even gained weight during my first week! But you should feel your body changing which is a sign that you're on the right track, just hang in there and eat healthy. This program is intense so it's really important to fuel your body with the proper foods and to eat enough calories in a day to support your workouts.
Hope this helps and good luck with your fitness goals!

THANK YOU SOO MUCH!! it has resured me that what I'm feeling is normal and not really my Firbro. YAY!! yes I have notice that good shoes are key, I wore the wrong ones the 1st time big mistake, my feet were killing me the next day. I do struggle with not seeing the weight loss, but I have notice that if I weigh myself after having a day off it does come down a little. If my thighs, bum and hips were changing the way my mid-section and arms are I wouldn't even care about the weight, but my lower half just seems to be getting bigger and bigger, which I find crazy considering all the squats!! oh well, I think I'll keep at it. I love Charlene and her fantastic attitude.0
