I am trying to shave a few more inches off of my belly. I want a 28" waist ( initial goal) and I'm sitting around 32".

I have no problem shaving it off my hips, it seems like it just FALLS off the hips, but the belly is definitely an issue.

I did 30 day shred and that helped but only shed 2" off my belly.

I did Insanity last summer for one month and i didn't lose any weight HOWEVER I could tell a big difference in the way my body looked and felt. I am thinking about starting insanity again because at that time I wasn't watching what I ate, so I may get better results this time.

BUT I WANNA KNOW:

What are the other options out there???

    Just do what they do.

Or you could do the usual Zumba, Hip Hop Abs, Wii fit, etc.

Abs are made in the kitchen ...... it's all about fat reduction. Unfortunately we can't spot reduce.

That said, you are going to lose weight .... where you lose weight. The last place I lose weight is in my hips & thighs.

Pilates is great for the core.... helps your posture too .... stand tall and look a little slimmer.

You answered your own question. You weren't watching what you ate. Change that, and change your weight.

There are no exercises out there that will make belly fat go away.

The body burns fat from wherever it wants, no matter what exercises you do, and the mid section fat is usually the last to go. You will see a smaller waist with reduced Overall BF%

Reduced belly fat comes from diet, caloric deficit, work (cardio AND strength training), and patience.

What the others have said. Nail the nutrition and the workout doesn't matter as much. You cannot outwork a poor diet.

If you eat right and do Insanity your results will be more than you ever expected.

What does a good day nutrition wise look to you? Figure that out & repeat with subtle changes.

I started at about 32" waist and got down to 27" waist at one point. Now I'm at 28". At 27" I was eating very low calorie diet and doing 2-3 hours of cardio a day. Now, at 28", I eat about 1600-2000+ calories/day and work out only about 30-40 minutes 4 or 5 days a week. Right now I run a couple days, then I will mix in P90x or Insanity. Insanity is a great one for shredding down your body, but it wrecks my knees.

Basically, it's not so much the workout, as it is your approach. As long as you are losing fat you will lose inches.

i always love the variety on fitnessblender videos.. you can go to their website and search for a specific area you are trying to work out... www.fitnessblender.com ..also youtube has some of jillian michaels .. overall you have to have a low bodyfat ration to show those ab muscles.. :) so work on that first! :)

There is no such thing as a workout or exercise that targets belly fat. There is absolutely nothing you can do to control which parts of your body shed fat sooner or faster. The only thing you can do is keep on going with diet management to reduce overall body fat and you will eventually get there.
