Scale Going Up?! Don't Worry! Keep Going!

Options
I've seen several posts lately about people concerned with the scale going up.

I've been on here for around 4 months, and I've seen the scale move both ways! It's not all DOWN, unfortunately!

DON'T GET DISCOURAGED!

I thought that I would reveal my progress chart from "Reports" tab on www.MyFitnessPal.com

Wow this is really encouraging! I recently took up working out to Jillian Miichaels' 30 day shred, but I've been concerned with gaining more weight than actually losing weight (due to differences in mass of muscle and fat). But this really gives me more hope! Thanks :)

I have noticed this too. In one day my weight will go waaaay down, then of course back up then I will inch my way back down to that low weight!! It was frustrating but at least I know not to get too discouraged. Now if I see it go up two or three days in a row then I get worried LOL

I wonder why this happens?? I think with myself it is water weight.

    Any thoughts??

    Several reasons:

Water weight (held from not drinking enough or consumption of excess sodium)
    Weight of food consumed
    Weight from waste
    Muscle gained from strength training

If the scale goes up on me, it just makes my focus increase on eating properly and working out harder that day.
