Hello all! I just found out I am 5 weeks and 5 days prego with my first child! Since I am not far along they said I have to wait till I am 10 weeks before I will be seen by a doctor which would be late Aug. I am trying to be as healthy as I can be during the entire pregnancy and not gain a lot of unnecessary weight! The nurse said the biggest thing I need to worry about now is getting enough water even if I cant eat, and that the baby will count on more of what I eat in the 2nd trimester. My questions are...

How many extra calories should I be taking in?
What foods are best?
Any advice or comments :)

    Congrats on your pregnancy!!! I was a high risk pregnancy so I can't really help other than try to eat healthy. I was told to avoid sushi and a few other things. check out the kellymom or babycenter websites....lots of info there. Good luck
