Im very active. Was running for cardio but I'm active enough daily! Actually
have no periods from it! I walk 3-5 miles a day, thats just to and from places not including steps at my two active jobs! I do workout videos like weights and squats etc.
I eat a sensible diet. Its not perfect, but I do keep an eye out for eating too many carbs especially in the form of dried fruit! Ugh I love!! But I've weaned off, Im so unsure of how much to actually eat with my activity level so I just eat what seems right.
Been stuck at this weight since last October! And this problem area is impossible because it fills out inner AND outer circumference just for that part. This is more than cosmetic guys...I cant fit into jeans properly! Guys turn their heads and make comments about my butt. So much of this is muscle underlying fat, but WHAT IS in my control??? Cant lose weight, cant tone??

You don't look out of proportion to me at all. You look great. As you lose more weight it will come from various areas. Honestly, I think it's probably the style of jeans you are trying to fit into. If your body is not a stick, skinny jeans need to have some stretch.0
-
Have you thought about Brazil Butt Lift? I know that really focuses on those areas. My cousin did it (I'm probably going to do it after I finish Body Revolution) and that was her problem area. She loved it. Still kept her butt, it's just toned and lifted. There are a few different ways you can do the program depending on the type of results you want.0

You can't pick where fat comes off - you can only lose body fat overall and be patient.
Now, you say you eat a sensible diet - but do you track your caloric intake carefully? If you're not losing weight, then you're eating at maintenance and need to add a modest deficit.0 -
Have you used a site like scooby workshop.com or IIFYM to calculate your calorie goal? Do you track your calories daily? What do your macros look like?0

I cant lose more weight! I have been stuck since October.
I do squats. Various kinds of routines. I can also hold a deep squat for
a super long time thanks to yoga. Sadly this does
nothing for that particular spot with the fat deposits0 -
I'm sorry, I may have misunderstood. Did you say you have no periods from being so active? Usually losing your period is caused by very very low body fat. I think your body fat percentage is in the healthy range, so I would talk to your doctor to see what the real cause of that is.0

Try Butt Bible by Pauline Nordin. It is like 10 bucks at Target. It did wonders for my inner thighs and saddle bags. She has kick *kitten* legs and the moves you learn in it can be applied at the gym. You can do it, it will just take time. That and you may need to look at some body fat % loss diets. This may help... GOOD LUCK!0

I was diagnosed with Hypothalamic Amenorrhea by a Reproductive Endocrinologist. He said according to my extensive lab results I am not PCOS like my family doctor suspected. He said I either run too much or have less fat than my body would like (I was overweight during puberty). He suggested I GAIN 5 lbs and here I am... It just happened anyway when I stopped cardio :-(0 -
Those jeans and shorts don't fit you. Look for clothes tailored to your shape and you'll like what you see in the mirror a lot better.0

You're a cutie! If I were you, I would follow my doctor's instructions, or get a second opinion if I wanted to be sure. You don't want to screw up your fertility or the hormones that are protecting your bone mass and heart health. Honestly, I think the skinny jeans look fine on you.
I carry some weight in my bootie and my inner thighs too.0 -
From your pictures, it looks like you still have a bit of body fat to reduce, not just on your thighs, but on your stomach and arms too. Which means that you need to eat at a caloric deficit if you want to lose. From what I've read about Hypothalmic Amenorrhea, it has to do with hormones and your hypothalamus, and may not be related to body fat %. Sometimes it is, and then limiting exercise or gaining weight is prescribed, but if that is not the cause, then estrogen therapy may be needed.0

Her doctor told her not to lose weight, because of the issue with her periods. It's in a post further down.0 -

Good advice. The clothes look a wee but snug. I think you look fine.
I'm 5-9" and 165lbs.0 -
Honestly you look great. Not everyone is meant to wear the same types of styles of jeans. You may wanna try a different style if you are unhappy with how they look on you. Remember everyone is different. You don't look like you have much fat to lose at all so I would suggest lifting. You don't like your butt.. do some squats. Have fun with it and good luck.0

first of all, you look amazing!! i also agree that those shorts just don't fit right, i feel you as i have some hips myself and did not always have them. so i have similar trouble areas. i researched how to help your inner and outer thighs and quickly found out, as i'm sure you well know, that you can't spot reduce. so that said, try incorporating some weights or circuit training (like f25/insanity/jillians michaels or even yoga) for all over work, and then do leg lifts laying on your side and back kicks at home on the mat, and lots and lots of squats and lunges! and adding weights to any of those moves definitely makes a big difference! i am fighting the same areas but those moves have helped me along the way tremendously. walking and cardio are definitely great, but i think switching it up keeps the body from getting used to what you're doing which is great for the body. you look fab though, and don't get the wrong idea that you look anything but great!0

Hi missy,
I'm incredibly worried that your period has stopped - this is a sign that your body is in trouble, listen to it x
I'd like to see what your calorie and macro balance intake is like when compared to your cardio regimes.
If you have a diet that is too low in carbohydrates and fats, your body will go into 'survival mode'. It stops ANYTHING that will expend energy in order to survive. Fats are essential for hormone production and balance, so if you're not getting enough healthy fats in, we're in a little bit of trouble.
As far as the struggle with fat loss goes - If you're a lass who is doing hours and hours of cardio along with a low calorie diet, you're teaching your body that it's going to have to always eat low calories and run to stay slim, meaning that ANY blowout you have will have a fairly substantial effect to your figure (makes it hard especially for the future). If you're not doing any weight training, it's very possible that your body has actually used it own muscle as a source for fuel instead of fat (muscle is expensive to keep), therefore also lowering your base metabolic values and making it difficult again for your body to see that it should be burning fat instead.
I would suggest having a look at your nutrient intake and perhaps tapering down the cardio. Introduce yourself to weight training and start squatting with WEIGHTS. It will change so much about your body. xx0 -
You can't lose size from those spots because the muscles are so developed from all of the awesome activities you do. Talk to a different doctor if you're worried about the first one being wrong, but your physical health should come before trying to transform your body type (which is most likely impossible anyways since your body fat is so low you lost your period). You are woman shaped and that's beautiful.0

you are beautiful with beautiful curves:)0 -
It's the clothes! The shorts are too small and the jeans cut into you at the wrong spot. Maybe look for jeans that's rise are either lower or higher. Invest in jeans that make you feel great about your body...even if they may be more expensive. I love my Seven Jeans and my Citizens of Humanity Jeans because they fit well and make my butt look amazing! Try on several pairs and bring your mom or a best friend to give you an honest opinion about how they look.0

You might benefit from a visit to an endocrinologist, someone who specializes in hormonal imbalances.0

I have a similar shape (although I'm bigger than you at the moment), but even when I'm at a smaller size, I just can't wear skinny or low cut jeans. Even though they are the trend, they look awful on me. I tend to go for a slightly higher waist and a wide leg or bootcut. You look to be at a normal body weight, so as other posters have said, i would just look for clothes to emphasize your good parts and hide/mask the things you don't like.
I can't speak on the whole hormonal issue, but a second opinion sounds like it may be helpful.
Good luck!0 -
Ditch the skinny jeans. I have a similar body type. I look great in bootcuts or wide legs.0

I'm going to echo the sentiment that the jeans and shorts you are wearing do not fit you properly. You obviously should not lose more weight since your doctor recommends against it.0
