so I'm taking a psyllium/prebiotic/probiotic and I'm thinking I should stop.... I started taking it because my digestion was messed up and now it seems to be the thing messing it up.....

who takes one? Who doesn't for the same reason I'm considering quitting?

Stories, anecdotes etc welcome....

i haven't messed with many probiotics other than that activia yogurt or whatever.

I do take some metamucil from time to time and it helps keep things working regularly.

Take it in order to hit your fibre goals . I only take psyllium husk when im on a keto diet that lacks fibre . If your recommended fibre intake is met daily then you don't need to supplement with Psyllium.
  • I drink a tablespoon of straight psyllium husks 3 times a day. One after breakfast, one after work, and one after dinner. I had to build up to this amount, because there is always an adjustment period for your system after upping your fiber intake or changing something drastically in your diet. I would give it time and keep consistent to let your body adjust.

The MFP goal or the nationally regulated one, which is 10g higher?

My SIL is a chemist and she uses probiotics, so I figure she knows what she's doing! I just eat yogurt, but I might look into them..

I take it, 10g in my shake, which is about 7g fibre. Even eating fruits and vegetables and only eating wholewheat bread/pasta/rice, I still struggle to hit 25g without it.
