Odd question - thoughts?

Ok - so generally I have my work outs Monday through Friday (weekends when my kids are not home) My favorite is Zumba - lights weights and or resistance twice a week. (already did those)
I have a wedding to attend this evening (blah who gets married on a Friday?!?!) - it is going to be 100 degrees today so I am not looking forward to it as it is! Starts as an out door!
Anyways...I can not decide if I should skip my work out today
I have noticed that on occasion I end up a little bloated (arms, legs and stomach?!?!) and I am not entirely sure which work out is doing it. Is it from the day before or the day of? My dress is fitting to my body and I DO NOT want my stomach sticking out . It is not flat by no means however in the dress without bloating you can not tell. Also do not want my arms blowing up - hate those as it is lol
Is it just me and my interpretation of what I see in the mirror on some days? Or can cardio actually bloat you a little? I thought is was just weight lifting. The food I eat is pretty consistent so I do not think that is the issue. Does the resistance and very light weights have a delayed effect and that much impact? (mind you currently no more than 5 lbs hand weights - resistance I think is 10 - 20 on legs). I have NO bloating this second
did my last resistance for the week the other day.
Just looking for insight on if I should skip it today to avoid any body fluctuation tonight from those that have been at this awhile and know the ins and outs

I don't think you should skip it, all for the sake of bloating. If you can't fit into your dress because of it, then perhaps skip. But if you still do, you'll feel great for the rest of the day. Just make sure you get plenty of water whilst exercising and afterwards. That should help with the bloat a bit.
I know this is odd and I am not sure whether it will help or it, but apply some moisturiser (I use cocoa butter) to your stomach area. I have found this helps with bloating. Not sure why, but give it a go! Good luck! :flowerforyou:0 -
Personally? I'd skip it and make up the time over the weekend. Rest days are good once in a while, and rescheduling them as needed shouldn't hurt.0

Working out doesn't usually cause bloating. Diet is usually the cause of bloating, and even healthy foods can cause it based on how it breaks down in your system (broccoli, beans and legumes are big culprits), usually the cause for bloating is gassiness or water rentention. From what you've described your workouts don't seem to be too much intensity so I wouldn't worry about overtraining or injury. As for skipping the workout it's up to you, me personally I have a hard time keeping on track when I skip workouts and start switching around days, but that has more to do with my work schedule and keeping myself from over training. Hope this helps0

It does - thank you!!!! I have moved workout around before but only when I know FOR SURE I can. Going to have to plan my lunch carefully - broccoli I eat alot of but never noticed being gassy or anything from it.
Thank you all for your help - Think for my own sanity I will work out tomorrow instead and skip the broccoli at lunch haha0
