Oh the dreaded Scale!!....

Have I ever mentioned that I hate scales?...They're scary! So I initially weighed myself on this white scale that my sister-in-law has. A week later (that is last Friday) I used it again and it claimed that I dropped 9 lbs. She told me not to use it because somehow it didn't work and that she had bought a new one a few weeks back (a black one). So I tried it. But since that scale told me I weighed the same, I stuck with the original white one. However, I finally made it to the store to buy a digital one (a Biggest Loser one at that). So, I know weigh-in day for me is not until Friday, but I wanted to check it out. So I did the unbearable and hopped on that bad boy this morning. It claimed I had lost only 6 lbs from starting weight. So then, I once hopped on the original, which now claims that I have lost a total of 10 lbs (as of today). So what are you guys thoughts?...which should I stick to??

Stick to the scale you bought for yourself, and dont let the 4 pounds stress you out. Using different scales will drive you crazy.
Congrats on the weight loss0 -
Hi Annie,
Scales are a big source of frustration for many of us. Choose one scale, in this case your beautiful and brand new Biggest Loser scale, and stick to it. Different scales will always show you different weights. It's like a clock or watch, no matter how close we try to get to the correct time, we're always off by a little.
And remember, you weigh differently during different times of day too. Try to weigh yourself first thing in the morning, with little or no clothing. If you weigh yourself after breakfast and drinking coffee or water, you'll weigh differently from earlier in the day.
One member here suggests that a measuring tape is better than a scale, so you might want to try both :-)
Good luck!0 -

Totally agree! And Congratz on your loss! Hang in you got this. The day will come when you step on the scale and you will be at your goal weight. Concentrate on that. That day is coming for all of us, How exciting!0 -
Thanks for your input girls!...I too am leaning toward the Biggest Loser Scale. But then I'm uncertain about my starting weight?...should I edit my initial weigh in and add 4 pounds to it?...should I edit my current weight to show only a 6 pound loss?....should I just leave it as is, and just wait until friday again?....I dunno...but I don't want to lose my motivation...0

I would leave the weight as is and just mark the new weight on Friday when you weigh in then. Either way you have lost weight and I agree with the tape measure (which reminds me, I need to find mine and do some measuring myself!)0
