Well that sounds about how i am. I will.lose 3-4 one week then none then maybe 1 lb.but if you raised your calories rhen ur body wont lose as much weight. Like i once had a 800 calorie diet then moved up to 1200gradually and reached a plateau. Iv lost 107 lbs and reached many plateaus.0

One pound a week is a perfectly good loss--don't consider yourself a failure! And if you're only two weeks in, give it a little time--it's hard to tell what's working and what's not working in that little time.
I don't think the bread is setting you back, eat it if you want to. But if you're happy with the meal plan you followed the first week, you can stick to that. It sounds healthy, and sometimes it's really much easier to get into a routine if you're eating basically the same stuff all the time.0 -
just keep doing it. 1 lbs in a week is good., and usually you do lose a lot first and then it balances down. I don't see anything wrong with what you're doing (well as long as you're getting enough calories).0

First of all, there is nothing wrong with losing 1lb per week.
Second, you need to eat to support your activity. Insanity is a demanding program, and you will burn yourself out by eating so little. Try calculating your TDEE and subtracting 20-30% from it. Here's how: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/952996-level-obstacles-lose-weight-target-fat-easy
Finally, you don't have to stick to such a restricted diet. Eat what you want, just in moderation.0 -
You lost 4 pounds in 2 weeks and that makes you a failure???? I really think you need to evaluate your long term goals... This isn't a sprint, it is a marathon and the marathon is the rest of your life. Don't be in such a hurry to get to the end of it... I lost 1 to 2 lbs. a week from the start, it all adds up....... Best of Luck0

I suppose that alot of what was said makes sense thank you, how do I know if im having enough calories if im.ment to be on a lower calorie intake to loose weight?0

Thank you, suppose I didn't really see it that way.0

This happens to me too where I'll have a week with a 3-4 pound loss and the next week is a pound or less. It's never been a steady amount for me. But....a loss is what we want and if over time it averages to 1-2 pounds a week, that's fine for me. I too get really discouraged when I'm working extra hard and get the low loss week. I also lose less when I don't stay in my calorie range. I'm going to try varying the foods I eat, I tend to want to eat the same things everyday. I'm just now getting serious about making changes that will last.0

One of my inspirational quotes:
"You only fail when you give up trying."
You didn't fail, you hit a bump, you're figuring it out, and you'll keep going. Bumps are inevitable!0 -
Thank you il take a look.0

There's two ways you can do it.
1) Using MFP's numbers, select "lose one pound a week" (because that's appropriate for the amount of weight you have to lose), make sure your activity level is accurate, and eat most of the calories earned from exercise.
2) Use another site to calculate your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) and subtract 20% from that, and don't add extra calories from exercise.
The numbers should be pretty close to one another at the end of the day.0 -
Don't forget, especially with INSANITY, that you are also gaining muscle. Forget about weighing yourself, measure yourself instead. Some people lose alot of inches. I barely lose any weight, and get so down on myself, but then I measure or put on my clothes to find them looser. Don't give up! INSANITY will work, sometimes it just doesn't work on the scales!0
