Starting over. :-)

Today I decided to start over and wipe the slate clean...I'm not new to how myfitnesspal, but I did decide to make a new account. After being diagnosed with hypothyroidism and rapidly gaining at least 50.pounds my freshman year of college, I became very upset with my body and how I felt. I joined myfitnesspal soon after getting put on medicine for my thyroid and lost 40 pounds. Within the last year, I began having issues with getting in to my doctor to get my prescriptions refilled,etc...they even forgot to send my lab results off to get checked (very aggravating)...this lead to me being off of my medicine for around that length of time. Within this past year, I became very unmotivated and down in the dumps and gained 30 of those pounds back. I'm very disappointed in myself, but this is my chance to start over. I'm seeing a new doctor Monday, and I'm hoping (with the help of myfitnesspal) to get motivated again and start living a healthier lifestyle.
I know that seemed like a long rant and I'm sorry if it was a tad confusing, but I needed to share the quick rundown of my story somewhere....:-) I am a 22 year old college student studying elementary education and I work part-time.
Feel free to add me as a friend on here and I will encourage you and root for you on your weight loss journey as well! :-)

I am so glad you have been able to schedule with a new doctor. I'm sure you know that hypothyroidism has psychological as well as physical effects, and I hope you feel much better with time and appropriate medical care. Congratulations on intervening before you regained all the weight -- a 10-pound net loss is a real loss, and I know you'll be able to keep building on that. The fact that you were able to step in and help yourself while a college student who works part time is very impressive. Congrats also on your chosen career path -- such a valuable contribution to society!0
