Pregnant and wanting to eat right

I was doing well using MFP and had lost about 15 pounds. I was hoping to lose a bit more before having my 2nd, but here we are. I don't want to use being pregnant as an excuse to eat a bunch of junk like I did last time, but I also do not want to not eat enough. Any ideas on what/how much I should try to aim for? Should I keep logging and change my goals? If so, what should I change them to? Or should I just forget all about it for the next 8 months? Ideas, tips?

Yes, one big tip. Talk to your OB/GYN. At this point, it is as much about your baby as you. The OB should be able to advise you on what is best for both of you. He may refer you to a dietician for any additional guidance. But I surely wouldn't take the advice of strangers on a website when it comes to the health of my baby. Even the best intentioned person doesn't know your specific medical history and condition. Please, talk to your doctor.

The first 30 weeks you need to consume 300 extra calories to sustain a healthy baby. (PER) baby. So if there is twins, you need 600. I have no idea, obviously, how many babies you are going to have. After 30 weeks you need 500 extra calories. I also agree with talk to your OB. That's what they are there for.

I have been tracking and watching my weight throughout this pregnancy. I'm at 31 1/2 weeks. The best advice is to always talk to your OBG first. I made sure that everything was ok for me to continue running and how many calories I needed to consume. They had told me to put myself at around 1500-1600 calories and I still ran a half marathon at 20 weeks. You can definitely manage a healthy gain during pregnancy :) Best of luck!
