Not hungry before only after I eat!!?!

Is there anybody out there that has the same weird problem as I do? ! I feel great (not particularly hungry but getting there), make a nice healthy meal and enjoy it and then ten minutes later I need more food. I need high sugar/ carbs . I honestly don't think it's because I'm depriving myself and then binging or something like that because it happens even when I've had lots to eat throughout the day.
I'm finding the cravings almost impossible to deal with and way worse than cigarette cravings I got when i quit smoking.
I think I might just have a weird body but if anyone has any thoughts/ suggestions, let me know.

Yes, this has also been my experience. I have found that after I eat foods especially with starch in them like breads or sugary foods then I get super hungry. Cutting back on sugars and starches does help me to be less hungry which also helps me to eat less calories. I do think that eating food in general feels good which makes us want to eat more. And I have also experienced this even when I have eaten more calories than my body needs.

I've felt this too. I usually find protein (meat, eggs, etc) seem to feel more filling for longer. If I eat something sugary, starchy, carby, etc. I usually drink quite a bit of water beforehand and during, just in case it "arouses my appetite without bedding it down." (O Brother Where Art Thou?)

I think this can be tied to the glycemic index and the satiety of certain foods.

Carbs are the least satisfying foods to eat, best is protein followed by fat. Up your protein and cut the carbs.
