I started walking about a week ago maybe a little longer, I am trying to do 30 min 3 times a week. I noticed last week that I have calf cramps waking me up at night and during the day when I am sitting at my desk my ribs or arms will start to cramp out of the blue. When I try to stretch to alleviate the cramp something on the other side or another place will cramp (abs, back, etc.). I know I have set a huge goal for myself for the next few months I know I can do it but these cramp are really messin with my already troubled sleep and it makes it hard to concentrate at work. I drink about 150 oz of water a day (most days) I have tried to increase it with the onset of the cramps it just does not seem to be helping. Any suggestions/thought would be helpful:grumble:

It can be iron or potassium too. Also I know water is important but it can be just as harmful drinking too much than too little. Sometimes way too much water can take with it some nutrients when discarded. Just a thought. Might want to see a nutritionist to make sure your daily amount of vitamins and minerals are ok.

I had the same issue months ago and went to my doctor.. my iron was low.. but she also suggested drinking coconut water a few times a week and shortly after the cramps stopped... I cant tell u whether it was the coconut water or just body getting use to the cramps but I still drink it 2-3 times a week and so far so good
