Hey there everyone!
I have gained quite a bit of weight over the past year & want to get back to my healthy & comfortable weight of 130lbs, which is a 40 lb weight loss journey I am on. I have found on Instagram a lot of people are doing the jillian michaels 30 day shred. Has anyone on here done that workout? If so, what did you get for resuls, would you recommend it, was it difficult, etc.? I would apprecite any & all feedback!
Anyone please request me on here! I love the motivation & truly need it to keep myself in check when it comes to loosing this weight!
Best luck to all living a healthy lifestyle.

I did it about a year ago. It was great. Compared to her other workouts, this JM's one was lower impact and great for a beginner. It's still tough and you really want to push yourself, but I've rarely heard of injury or unusual problems with this workout. It's great for a start. It's only 30 days, so it's not a huge commitment but the results are SERIOUS. I think I lost 3 inches in my waist alone. There are lots of people who do it on MFP, but join the 30 Day Shred Group too. You'll probably find someone who is starting the program at the same time, get info from people who are finishing or have finished the program, and just general information. Don't forget to do a search on "30 Day Shred results" to see pictures that will help to inspire. I love doing that!0

Thank you for the input! I actually did look up result pictures from this workout & it is remarkable the transformation some people did! Truly inspiring & motivational. I have seen more posts from people saying they lost more inches then weight, which is fine with me either way. I can't wait to start it, I will be buying it tomorrow so day 1 will be soon! I already work out at Planet fitness, not totally a 'beginner' but I'm also no expert either. I'm glad this one is on the 'easier' side of what her other videos are.0

The 30 day shred series has three levels, or videos. You should probably start on level 1. Plenty of people around here use it. I don't. However, it's free online:
Level 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Pc-NizMgg8
Level 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxvLerfthAA
Level 3: I can't find without doing anything illegal.
However, you can go to the BeFit youtube channel and you'll have access to more exercise videos than you can go through in your lifetime.

I have it and would be willing to be a "virtual" workout buddy if you wanted to try it. I need to get some motivation going again too. I just don't have "support" to get back at it. I also like her Ripped in 30. I think the Ripped in 30 gives better results, but they're about the same. I am going to add you though for a friend though.

Didn't realize it....we're already friends :-) Be glad to do the workout partner thing though if you're interested.0

Yes! I would love to have a virtual buddy to workout with. It'll help us both stay motivated & on track for the workout. Too funny about us already being friends on here. Ill have to private message you later when I'm out of work so we can talk more!0

It's fantastic. I do it when I'm low on motivation for exercise, because Jillian rocks.0

I am currently doing the 30 day shred, I'm on my last few days of level 3. I wasn't working out before and have a lot of weight to lose. I have had amazing results with it so far (I changed my eating as well, and began jogging). I've lost 26lbs so far and TONS of inches all over my body. It is tough but it gets you going and on the right track- you'll notice a lot of changes in your body and feel a lot stronger. I highly recommend it! I am beginning round two as soon as I finish this round, I'll add you Good luck!0

I've ordered the dvd and am going to start it this week so maybe we can track together.0
