Starting weight training

Hello!
I've been doing cardio for quite a while and would like to add some weight training. Can anyone give me some advice on how many reps I should do of each exercise and how many times each rep? I've never worked with any weights before. Thanks so much in advance to anyone who has any advice!

I am interested in getting into weight training as well, and like you I have no experience whatsoever. I love my cardio. I don't have access to a gym at the moment, so I am starting with dumbbells. I have absolutely zero arm strength and everyone has to start somewhere!
Anyway, this is what I'm doing: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/rudy6.htm
I will increase reps/weight as I get stronger. Maybe one day I'll get into heavy lifting, but this is what I'm starting with.0 -
Start with 2-3 sets as a beginner with 5-6 reps. You ultimately want to work up to 3-4 sets with 8-12 reps.0
