Okay. So, here is the thing. I have been eating healthy and working out for over a month now. At first I lost about two kilos and i was thrilled since it was not a crash diet or anything. But now, it's been 3 weeks since the scale last moved! Not even half a kilo for God's sake! On the conterary, I think I've gained half a kilo! What do I do? I am pretty sure I got it all right. (A healthy diet, 40-60 min cardio or strength workout and I do drink a lot pf water). So, help before it drives me nuts! (Though I guess that's a tad too late, it already has).

This might be a stupid question but- are you tracking your calories exactly on MFP? People eating "healthy" can sometimes eat too much. Do you have a daily calorie goal that will cause weight loss?

Not at all. And yeah I do calculate every single thing. I usually eat from 900 to 1100 or so.

1000 calories is not "eating a healthy diet." 1000 calories is "not eating".

The original weight you lost was primarily water weight from the severe calorie restriction. It was never going to continue at that pace. Do some research on BMR and TDEE and figure out the proper amount of calories to eat, which I assure you is much higher than 1100.

well yes...if you are supposed to eat 1500 calories (safe to assume this is 80% of your tdee?), coming in around 1000 is bad.

eat less salad and more caloric foods. or put the caloric foods on your salads.

I was "stuck" for a long time. I am now working with a doctor and he had me lower my calories and... eat a lot more protein and a lot less carbs. And my weight has finally started to go down. Good Luck

Are you getting all the nutrients you need? Daily vitamins and minerals, protein and fats?

If yes, then no, eating lots of salad isn't bad. Add some nuts, avocado, dressing w/ oil, and/or cheese to your salads and you'll be able to get to the calories you need.

If no, then you need to back off of the salad some and add in the foods you need to balance your nutrition. If you still are under on calories, make sure you're using full fat ingredients, no 'diet' foods, add in the nuts, oils, avocado, etc.

You can have just about any food you like as long as you're not intolerant or have a medical condition. There's got to be something high calorie you liked to eat before that you can add back into your meal plans in smaller amts.

I found it impossible to maintain a diet of 1000 calories- I certainly have days where after a few workours and what not I may end up netting around that, but my intake is almost always at least 1600.

You should be eating at or as close to your BMR as possible. If you were in a coma, your BMR is the very minimum you would recieve to keep your body functioning. Basically, if you are eating way below that, your body is going to hold on to every little morsel you give it because it thinks you are starving. It's not getting enough. Seeing as it doesnt appear that you are significantly overweight, you are not going to lose.
Someone who is very overwieght or obese can lose at 1000 calorie intake a day, since there is excess fat for theirt body to use for fuel... but not without ultimately wreaking havoc on their metabolism.

So you take in only 900-1100 calories per day and do 40-60 min of working out on top of that?

I'm guessing (pure guess) you only NET 600-800 calories per day.

Lawl this thread has good timing. Someone just came in badge and all during my work study desk job... apparently someone who used to come in here wants to be a spook.

Diary locked, all we have to work with is total net. Clean is subjective as hell and for all we know the OP is getting backlash from cutting back too far.
