- 30lbs : Any other 21 year olds doing the same?

Hello, my name is Chey. This is my second try on here but I plan to be serious about my weight loss this time. No more being lazy ;P I thought maybe I could see if there were other females my age that'd want some support for a little in return.

My goal is to lose 30lbs since for my age and height that is what the scales are saying I'm over weight with. I should be in the 160-165lbs range but I'm 187-190lbs now, depending on when I weigh myself.

Im 22, I've lost 25 pounds and looking to lose about 80 more! welcome back! (its also my second or third time on here)
  • Hello, nice to meet you (: and congrats on the 25lbs already gone ^_-.

Thanks (: I mainly just lost interest in typing everything in everyday and motivation to care about what I was eating. But I'm going to actually try this time and stick to this.

  • hi! im 19 and trying to lose 15lbs...I had the same interest/motivation problems as you the first time I came here, bu tknow I'm back for good! I want to get down to the weight I want! :P
  • Hey guys ^_^ great goals!
  • Hello!

I'm 24 ( yes a bit older ) but I'm too young to have this much weight on me~ I'm in the neighbor hood of 193 and Im down about 12 pounds. The ulitmate goal is to be in the neighborhood of 135-140

My main priority right now is to get into the 170's

I'm a first timer on MFP and so far I have stuck with it for a month now. I feel super motivated and really want to get this weight off. I've also joined a cheap gym and have been going there. I work at an office so I stay on this site almost all day and have made it very public that I'm trying to loose weight. We have a lot of women in the office so they are very helpful in good choices at lunch time.

Im a horrible cook tho so dinner is tougher....

Hey! I'm 5'7", 206 and 20 years old. I'm aiming for high 170s low 180s - we'll see how I feel when I get there and if I need to lose more.

Good luck! Feel free to add. My diary is public.
  • Hi! That's a great goal ^_^ and it's great your co-workers are supportive (: I can cook it's just having the resources to actually cook something healthy XD for my fiance, our daughter and I we get $130 a month for food. It doesn't seem to much when we're going shopping so it's hard to pick healthy stuff that will last us. Good job on getting into a gym though! Our college has a great gym but classes don't start for us again until September 30th :/ so we have a bit before we can use it again.
  • guess we're all aiming for the 170's pretty much :P sweet. Good luck to everyone.
  • Yeah I just found a 20$/month gym with free babysitting so it seemed like the best option. I have a 5yr old and 10 month old.

I usually download the pdf's of all of the local grocery stores to find the lowest prices on ALL of our grocery items. The problem is when you go to one store some things are on sale but other things are marked up. Healthy foods can be very expensive so it makes it harder on the budget for us.
It usually takes me about 40 minutes to make the list and then bf and I split up and get half of the list and can usually get out in 20 minutes. We do not buy anything not on the list and it helps stretch the dollars further.
  • Oh wow that isn't bad at all (: and with two little ones I'm sure it's tough to find time for a work out so the babysitting is a great bonus.

I should do that, thanks for the idea (:
  • Has anyone tried the Zumba Dance App at all? I'm debating on getting it for my Ipad to try out. I have an HDMI cable hookup for my TV so I can get it on there to work out with. There are a lot of bad reviews in ITunes though :/ Might go for the xbox games instead if we can :P they're kinda a lot of money for them.

I haven't tried that app. I've never even tried Zumba. :P I'm just not a group exercise person, unless I'm playing a sport with friends.
