What's the debate? If you want to drink milk, drink it. If you don't, don't. There's TRUTH for you.

Seriously you are gonna criticize him on quotes. How rude you are. If you don't like it don't ready. He/she is not your student and you are not his parent.

When I first learned the "good" things milk does for you, but only in it's raw and unpasteurized fresh form I was amazed! So I started doing research! On the internet and in books. Reading about the history of milk all over the world.

Untill I had first hand experience then I was sold for good and will never buy milk from the store again!

I have been getting raw milk from a dairy off and on for 2 yrs. I got really sick a few months ago, couldn't keep food down etc. I was so thirsty and did not want to get dehydrated. The only thing I could drink and keep down was the milk! I drank almost a gallon before the next morning. I finally went to sleep. When I got up the next day I was fine! No more tummy ache! I also discovered as time went on that the heartburn I had for more than a year was gone! I have had no intestinal issues of any kind!

I now maintain 2 to 4 cups of raw milk a day including meals and sometimes more if I am fasting or doing what I like to call a liquid day!

I was taking antacid, metformin and thyroid meds for weight issues, and I no longer need them! I am under Dr. supervision and he approves of all I have done and is glad I am off the meds!

I am here to loose weight and get in shape just like the rest of you! It is up to you to do the reading and research for yourselves, then decide if milk is right for you or not! Don't just take my word for it or any one else! Find out for yourself!

One book I read that had a great history on milk and how we came to pasteurize it is "The untold story of Milk" by Ron Schmid ND. You can find it on Amazon.

I wish all of you luck on your journey and in life! Take care and have a great day!

I didn't criticise him. I asked a simple straightforward question. How is that rude? I would have thought rude would have been making assumptions about meaning, not asking questions.

It's a debate. We have to be careful about what we call science and conjecture. I read the first two articles (couldn't find the third). What I find troubling is the articles are one-sided an no references are listed. Where do all these results come from?

I have a science and engineering background in chemistry. I want to see the peer-reviewed articles with actual results. At the same time princessofred I appreciate your anecdotal evidence, that's very compelling and you have the support of a MD which is very imperative, good for you!

Pasteurisation was introduced to kill Mycobacterium bovis (TB), salmonella and E.coli O157 wasn't it ? It did mess with the taste.

All I have to do is sign that it's not for human consumption and I can get "real" milk.

All this milk talk is scaring the bejeebus out of me. I think I'm going to crawl under my desk and suck my thumb for a while, shaking in udder fear.

Then have an ice cream cone to make me feel better.

Glad to see someone stumbled across raw milk at their local food coop for the first time last week and took to the internet.

I don't know but from what I've gathered there appears to be a mood regulating enzyme in milk that when not consumed causes an increase in douchery

Raw milk is freaking delicious and I wish the stupid FDA and state agencies would let me buy it without having to drive 2+ hours to someone's farm.
