Looking for inspiration

I'm new to this site... not new to trying to lose, God knows I've tried. I've gotten to the point where I'm tired of mentioning anything to anyone about my struggles, simply because I'm sounding like that friend who always whines, but never does anything, and I'm sure everyone is getting tired of listening?

I am 5'5" and weight 295 lbs. Last year I was 327 lbs at my heaviest, and went down to 280 lbs, now I'm slowly climbing back up... I need to do something once and for all! I'm looking for some online support. This is a serious struggle, and I guess I've never really realized how hard this is. Everyone always seems to know exactly what I need to do. I know everyone means well, but I find I'm always trying to find the right fit that will work for me.

So far this site seems super easy to navigate and track food. Hopefully it'll work. Just looking for some online support and guidance from those of you who are in the same place or have been

I'm glad you found MFP. It is a really great site. I friended you! I started out just doing .5 pounds a week to give me enough calories where I didn't feel hungry. Maybe try slow and that will help.

Take it slow and be patient (I have to tell myself that daily) and you'll win the race ...

I've not had as much weight to lose as you, but I can certainly relate to the continuous nature of fighting weight gain/the struggle to lose.

What works for others may, in fact, not work for you (exercise routine, dietary restriction, etc.). Take the time NOW to set your mind on 2 concepts. . .this is gonna take TIME. . .and this is going to be/get uncomfortable.

You WILL need to sweat. You WILL need to pass on some tasty treats from time to time (when you have already had enough calories for the day). You WILL be mentally and physcially uncomfortable.

    But, You CAN do it!!!

Be determined. Be dedicated. You CAN do this!!!

Please feel free to add me! I log most days, I exercise a lot, post a lot, I love to encourage and interact with my friends. And if you ever need advice or have questions I'm all ears! Love to trade recipes, too :)

Inspiration can be hard to find. People post about how to find inspiration, where to find motivation, etc. I honestly have no idea where inspiration can come from if it isn't coming from YOU. You need to want to do this because no amount of wishing to fit into those jeans, staring at pictures of bodies you wish were yours or depriving yourself of any kind of food will get you to where you want to be. You just have to wake up every single day to resolve to flucking DO IT. Start small so you don't get overwhelmed and continue to make more positive changes over time. Before you know it you won't even realize you're doing it because it will just BE your life.

welcome I am also relatively new and have been using MFP for about 3 months. I've lost 11 pounds so far. It has to become a lifestyle and a habit to use the tracker and accurately record your food intake and exercise.
