Blisters from exercise :-(

Anyone get blisters from working out? I went on a 4 mile walk the other day (pretty big accomplishment for me....) and now have 3 blisters on my feet! And they are PAINFUL, too so now I have to wait until they go away to walk again! Anyone know a way to get rid of these things fast and/or prevent them??? (I have tried these blister-specific bandaid type things, but its not really helping!) :frown:

My hands are starting to blister from lifting. I'm going to call the eventual callouses 'war wounds'.

a little coconut oil will help the skin heal. but i'm thinking you might need new shoes?? ouchie! :(

The only way to prevent them is to have shoes that fit properly. Blisters are caused by friction, friction results when your foot moves around inside the shoe.

You may also want to consider getting running socks (wicking fabrics) rather than cotton, there are even ones that are two layers of fabric which can help compensate for a less than perfect fit.
