Hi All,
anyone have a polar ft4, i just bought one and got it today and inside the box it has a little warning note that says ..
." this product and its packaging contain chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer, birth defects or reproductive harm. This notice is provided in accordance with Californais Proposition 65.""
It gives you a site to seek further info but when you go there is says no page found. concerning much...i think so. Considering i have beaten cancer 3 times and exercising and eating well to prevent further reoccurences this makes me wonder what is in the manufacturing to even warrant a label such is this. Why wouldnt you make the product without potential harmful chemicals or plastics.
Some enlightenment please. Should note im in Sydney Australia and when i contacted Polar Australia via facebook it told me that it is a legal requirement in California and should not of been in my box. But still....Why is it there.

California has some very strict laws. If it contains anything dangerous if consumed (and all electronics do), it requires a warning label. Don't eat the watch and you'll be fine. California goes a little overboard at times.0

I know this is kind of late but I just got the Polar FT7 off Amazon and the box had this warning on it. It really concerned me because I had just recently watched http://www.toxichotseatmovie.com (gives more info: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/marcia-g-yerman/toxic-hot-seat-ignites-aw_b_4338572.html) which talks a lot about the CA Prop 65. I found this website: http://www.polar.com/us-en/california_proposition_65.0

I've seen that on so much lately! It was just on a jar of powdered pigment I got the other day. I didn't even see it when I bought my Polar FT4. But I don't plan on eating it either, so I guess we'll be alright.0

Really has nothing to do with eating it. If you want find out more about the warning check out the websites I referenced or just Google "proposition 65" and/or " toxic hot seat"0
