This is my exercise routine
Monday: rest
Tuesday : 2 hours hockey training - I run until I can't breathe (lots of running and sprints and drills for 2 hours)
Wednesday : abs workout 1/2 hour
Thursday: 2 hours hockey training again
Friday: abs workout 1/2 hour
Saturday: rest
Sunday: 1/2 hour running, 1/2 hour strength
Is this enough?? I keep having this mentality that it is not sufficient and I keep pushing myself. I'm afraid that if I don't exercise more I'll gain weight =(
My ultimate exercise goal is actually 16 hours of physical activity a week;
Monday: rest
Tuesday : 2h hockey
Wednesday: 4h baseball training
Thursday: 2h hockey training
Friday: 4h baseball training
Saturday: rest
Sunday: 3h baseball training + 1/2h running +1/2h ab workout
What do you guys think??

of course it is, and i'm assuming saturday is going be a match day for hockey if tues/training is training days, when your season starts like
Atm i'm in footy preseason, i'm training tuesdays/thursdays, light lunchtime friendlies in work wed/fridays and gym saturday/sunday.
But when my season starts
Tuesday - Training 2hr session - laps/sprint drills/ball work
Wed - work lunchtime game (it's a friendly mixed age thing so it's an easy run out)
Thurs - 1hour lighter session ball work
Friday - Rest
Sat - competitve match
Sun or monday - Gym weights only pending on how busted i am from saturday (i rest one of the days and gym the other)0 -
looks fine, though i would change 'abs workout' to full body resistance/strength training.0

I can only speak personally, but I run three times per week for approx an hour at a time and weights once per week, so that is just four times training per week too.
I am okay with that, but if you feel you want to up your training days, providing you feel fine, there should be no reason why you cannot do that, just make sure you continue to enjoy it though, then it doesn't become a chore.0 -
