My Fitness Pal

When I first found this app. I thought this won't work. They never do. Well I have grown to love and depend on this App. Without exercise which I hate. This app has taken me from 305 pounds down to 288 pounds. Thats right with no and I repeat no exercise. It has been great to see the results. My goal weight is 250 or less. This app has all so motivated me to have the will power I once had when I was a teenager. I love it. I live and eat with this app. And I always try and stay 200 calories below my allowed daily calories.So all you that are thinking of giving up. Don't hang in there and it will happen:wink::wink:

    Thanks for the inspiration. I started using this site a month ago and have lost 13 lbs as of today ( not ticker updated as I do that on Sundays lol ) I like the fact that it creates accountability as I have an open profile. I do exercise as I love walking and biking. I refuse to get a car so I walk or bike everywhere.

    Hey there, Well if you can do it, I can do it. I'm not one for exercise but I do what I can. I get bored very easy and really love to workout with friends, but as I have none here where I live, it makes it kind of hard. During the winter months I walk with my dog though. As it's summer I don't do anything outside of the house (A/C is a wonderful thing). If the app has really done that for you I'm going to try to remember to get it on my phone. I currently use another app N**m and it's pretty good too, buggy sometimes but good. I don't eat much anymore as I'm trying to watch everything. For example this is my everyday meal plan:

    AM
    Smoothie: Ingreds... Protein Powder (one scoop), water (instead of juice), fresh frozen fruit (I buy all my friut each week and cut it up and freeze it myself).

    Lunch
    Large salad, light dressing, chicken brest or turkey with a boiled egg white.

    Dinner
    Med. salad, and whatever I cook for dinner.

    I stopped eating burgers and fried foods. I don't fry anything at home and I use whole grain pastas if I make pasta dishes. My salad is my main dish and everything else is in a side and smaller portion than my salad. I've cut down from my allotated 1500 calories to about 1200 or 1100. I don't eat much as I snack in between those meals with yogurt or fruit or Special K snacks. I don't like protein/energy bars/drinks. I walk at 450am with my dog everyday. Then I do nothing all day but work and then I walk him in the early afternoon when I get home from work. But then, I'm sedentary and doing nothing. Oh, after my smoothie in the morning, I only drink water the rest of the day. I have cut back my alcohol intake to just Saturday nights. I used to have a glass of wine a night with dinner...but I've now stopped that tradition. My friends think I'm nuts lol.

    Welcome, I have used mfp since last August, and you can see from my ticker how it went

    I went from obese, to overweight [ a big cheer to be just overweight :-) ]

    Now in normal BMI range

    Hang in there, it works
