depends what the oil is used for
avocado oil, grapeseed oil, coconut oil, olive oil, extra virgin olive oil, sesame oil, sunflower seed oil are all healthy oils
you need to use each for the proper cooking method tho in in some cases as finishing oils such as the extra virgin olive oil or sometimes with sesame oil.
I saute with coconut or olive oil.0 -

All those high priced oils are only marginally better than canola oil, which is generally the same price as vegetable oil and is the oil found in most general purpose cooking sprays. I use EVOO most of the time and canola when the slight olive taste would be unwelcome (waffles for kids; they notice) or on those rare occasions that something is getting cooked in a fair amount of oil.0

There a so many different oils nowadays - it does get overwhelming. A lot of them tout several benefits, none proven. They are all about the same calories across the board ... Some are sketchy and should be avoided - such as vegetable and canola due to nasty toxins/pesticides. I stick with a light olive oil - it can be used in almost anything since it doesn't have the hearty EVOO taste ... but when I cook Italian EVOO is a must. So ... overall -- educate yourself on the crap in Vegetable and Canola. Canola fumes are said to be toxic/dangerous.

Is Macadamia nut oil still as popular as it was a couple of years ago? I never see anyone mention it here, but it was all anyone talked about in other health forums I've been on.0
