Protien

I go over my protien EVERY DAY! Is this really all that bad? I'm having enough trouble with my sugar intake, do I really have to cut back on protien or is this not that big of a deal? It usually comes from hard-boiled eggs, turkey, chicken, or beans. Help!

You should go over your protein every day. Think of protein and fiber numbers as a MINIMUM to hit.

MFP has some unusual macros for fat/carb/sugar... etc.

Those looking to gain/maintain muscle should be getting 1g of protein per 1lb of their mass... so someone weighing 170lbs would look to get 170g of protein... and that's 2-3x more than MFP default recommends.

You can customize your "Daily Nutritional Goals" on MFP. This will allow you to set certain target % numbers for carbs, protein and fat--and you should be adjusting it once you become 'aware' of what kind of diet you can maintain and works best for your workout regiment. Protein is always an EXCELLENT source of calories and you shouldn't be worried about eating 75-100%+ of your weight in grams daily (especially if you're doing weight training); however, you should stay well hydrated to help the liver process the excess protein.
