Always a good reminder that anyone trying to sell you something has more than a few tricks at their disposal. Keep working hard and fighting the good fight, people!

I've read also that the before and after pictures are sometimes reversed. They hire very fit people to put on weight.0

That was insane! I always knew about faking these pictures but seeing what he could do in one hour was pretty mind blowing. I hada friend who used to specialize in faking photos for salons. They would photograph women with gorgeous hair, mess it up with dyes and whatnot and then take the "before" shot. They would then fix it and the model got a free haircut and color.0

This makes me sad.0

You mean...advertisers skew results!? :noway:
I just died a little inside.0 -
They usually join sites like MFP....browse the success section and steal peoples before and afters and use them to sell their supplements.0

That article is awesome. Thanks for sharing!
I just finished Insanity as a regimented "get back to working out hard" jump-start...but deep inside I was a little disappointed that I didn't have more jaw-dropping results. It's always nice to have a little extra affirmation that I don't suck for being slow-and-steady.0 -
There is a documentary on Netflix (it used to be streaming, not sure if it still is) called, Bigger. Stronger, Faster that is mainly about steroids. But there is a portion of the movie where they go on a photo shoot for a supplement. The same model does the before and after pictures IN THE SAME DAY. They change lighting, makeup and clothing and that's it.0

Slow and steady Rocks!!! :drinker: (just another affirmation, because there are not enough out there. :flowerforyou: )0 -
Wow! his pics are really great, shows how easy it is. I am always suspicious of these claims, now even more so!0

So sad! I always assumed Photo shop. I get a kick out of some who spend the money on gimicks that state they can lose weight without changing what they eat or exercise, use the product and dont change eating habits ect. They are upset when they dont look like the before and after pictures in the advertisement.0

That's so crazy! I guess if results like the before and after pictures could actually happen and stay true everyone would be fit though . Makes my journey to eating right and treating my body well with exercise all the more worth the patience and effort.0
