All the Tall Ladies

Hi! I am quite new to this community and am hoping to find support and motivation from other tall women. I am six feet square and 220 pounds. I have no idea what weight would even look good on me. I've been heavy most of my life. I served in Americorps for a year and was down to about 175ish, but friends and family told me I looked too skinny? My mother is 5'10" and about 125 pounds, but she is built like a rail. I am built more like a refrigerator.

Not sure what to do. Reading other threads and feeling downtrodden when petite ladies call themselves chubby, chunky, and heavy at only 150 pounds! What is a good goal for tall women with big, blocky bone structures? Anyone have advice or pics at different weights?

Any other tall ladies out there feeling it?

Edited to add; I was only 19 when I was that thin, and I'm not sure my structure and height are still the same. When I say I'm built like a fridge, I am not kidding.

Groups full of awesomely tall women. I am 6'0" as well and it bothered me all the time growing up when my friends would start calling themselves fat at 130-140lbs. I was always thinking that I must be huge. But as I got older I learned to accept that yes I might weigh more and wear a bigger size than them, but am a healthy weight for me, so when my normal height friends start complaining about weight I just kinda zone out and smile and nob.

It really depends on your build and how heavy your bones are...

I'm 5'10" and weight 180 lbs. I consider myself to be of average build and a healthy weight for me is ~150 lbs. In fact, I used to weigh 150 lbs when I got married and even then, I could stand to loose about 10 lbs.

I'm also tall; 5'11". I'm 200lbs on the picture on the right:

My suggestion is, don't focus on a "goal weight." Decide on something obtainable (190?) and once you are there, re-evaluate your goals.

Try this site out. It is really cool. I don't know if it will answer your questions, but it will give you an idea of what other people look like based on height/weight.
