Hi.....

I want to start with TDEE -20%. I have read a lot on this but am still confused. I am still not sure what my TDEE-20% number is. I am 45 female, current weight at 160. My height is 5"4' . My day is sedentary but I do exercise 5-6 times a week. The exercise is 15mins of rowing, walking at 3mph for an hour and weights/strength training for about 20mins. Could any one pls help me calculate how many calories I should be eating.

More back ground...I have lost 20lbs in the last 4 months. Initially with a low cal diet and then with Atkins, but I had to quit Atkins as I just cant eat that much meat!!

Sorry about the rambling post. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have an estimate of your body fat percentage?

Based on your info, your TDEE is 1940 calories, and your TDEE - 20% is 1550 calories.

Thanks AJ_G! This is exactly why I am so confused. all the calculators that I have run have got my TDEE at around 2300. And my BMR at around 1500. I so dont want to wreck my chances by eating at the incorrect calorie number!
