My name is jasper
and i'm from INDIA
So i started weight training about 5 weeks ago
I'm training good, and i can feel muscles in my body everywhere. for starters that is good i suppose
And i'm dieting too........ so i'm also good there
But my family members say i have bulked up :O
I have lost 2 kgs in the first week and then again gained 1 in the next week and also 1 in the next week,
from then i am consistent on my weight
I feel good , but my family says i got bulky?
is this normal to bulk up from building muscle before burning more fat??
and i'm also counting calories on my fitness pal...........

From what I've read, males can reasonably expect to gain 1-2 kg of muscle per month. So the weight fluctuation is probably not all muscle, but maybe some. Water weight can really mess with your head. Make sure you are measuring your food, counting calories and getting enough protein for muscle retention and lift while you're dieting! You might look "bulky" because of bloat, the addition of just a tad more muscle, etc.0
