SInce losing the weight, I have noticed that I am now bruising so much easier. In many cases, i cant even remember how i got the bruise. At the moment, I have a whopper of a bruise on my left elbow, no idea how it got there. My legs are also covered in smaller bruises. Anyone else experienced this?

If you look at me with a hard side eye- i'm likely to bruise. It's defintiely gotten worse.
I am covered in bruises all the time and I used to be bruise pretty frequently but now I feel it's worse (I have only dropped 15 lbs of body fat while cutting- so it's not a super drastic change) but yes. Badly.
I have an issue with carrots-if I eat them alone- they make me nasueas- I have to eat them WITH something which apparently is some sort of Vit K sensitivity... turns out Vitamin K issues can also be linked to being susceptible to bruises.
It's definitely an issue- but it hasn't really slowed me up to much- I do want to ask my doc about it next time I see her. It's shameful how badly I bruise.0 -

I having been taking multi vits for a while, this week I have also intriduced Udos Choice Oil (omega 3 6 and 9) into my diet. I will see if it improves over time.0 -

Wow, I never knew that about carrots!!0 -
I have this same problem, but I always have.
My legs are constantly bruised without any reason!
And I take tons of vitamins.
I've always wondered if it has to do with the fact I have some joint disease I have.0 -
Ask your doctor. They can test your blood levels etc and give you a game plan!! You want to be sure you are getting what your body needs because we are all different!!0

Interesting, my daughter has a joint disease and she bruises easily too...... The condiiton she has can be heriditary, but hubby and I have never been tested, although we always suspected that I have it. My daughter has severe hypermobility syndrome, in every single joint. If i have it, It is only in my shoulders, hips and knees, and certainly not to the same degree she has.0 -

Yup that's me!
Reason I had to give up volleyball. They said you can get surgery to tighten up certain joints but it would have to be done every 5 years to maintain a tightened joint. (not my cup of tea)
It's weird to read that she has the same issue and that you may as well. I haven't ever found anyone with this, or that's aware of it!
If this is common with all three of us I bet that's what it is.0 -
I have the same issue, and mine is due to iron deficiency. Do your vitamins include iron? I agree that getting your blood tested is a great idea.0

Do you take baby aspirin for your heart daily? I used to bruise easily, went to the Dr., and she suggested that instead of taking one every single day, that I take one every other day, and that fixed my bruising issue.0

WOW! What a coincidence!!! My daughter has it pretty bad, she is in pain pretty much every day and the Drs have said there is no way to really treat it other than exercise. It also affects her blood pressure and HR. All of her joints click constantly as well, she is 16 and her body sounds closer to 90
However, i do suspect we may have found our cause.... I take iron supplements etc so I can rule that out.0 -

I'm sorry I meant that taking fish oil could cause bruising, or taking too much or little of certain vitamins and minerals.0 -

well it's more about my sensitivity to Vitamin K than it is the carrots- they just have enough that when **I eat them** purely as a carrot it makes me a little ill.
But yeah- high vitamin K- apparently makes me nauseous unless it can bind with fat molecules LOL.
I'd go to the Doc - esp if your daughter has a similar issues with a known diagnosis.0
