Best ear phones for exercising

I have an I-phone but the Apple ear buds I got won't stay in while exercising. Also, the volume isn't that great either. Any recommendations out there?

When running I just the ear buds that wrap around your ear. If i'm just lifting I have a nice pair of Sony headphones that I use. I had the same problem with the apple ear buds. The wrap around earbuds were a good fix for me. Plus they aren't all bulky when trying to run.

I bought these for my brother solely for working out:

He absolutely loves them and then you don't have a cord to worry about.

I bought urban ears off of the Apple website and they are awesome. I constantly tangle my hands in the cords when running, and these are the first I've owned that absolutely never fall out. They go in your ear and then you sort of twist them and a little piece of them wedge into the crevice in your outer ear. It's hard to explain, but I"m sure google can do a better job than I can!

I just got the same ones (mine were refurbished ones from Jaybird). So far, they are doing what I wanted--keeping me from getting tangled up in cords.

I do find the wire between the two headphones that hangs down behind the head more annoying than I expected. When I start to sweat (which is 2 min after I start the workout), it sticks to the skin so that every time I turn my head I start to pull one of the earbuds out.

Overall, I think they are the best Bluetooth earbuds out there.

I have Bose IE2 ear phones. They were expensive ($99 at Best Buy) but were one of the best purchases I've made. Before that, I'd gone through a couple pairs of the Apple ones. The Apple earphones were uncomfortable, had bad sound quality, fell out of my ears all the time, and the wires quickly broke. I've had the Bose earphone for 2 years now and they are still good as new. They have silicone ear with an extra little curved rubber brace to hold it in your ear while running. It comes with 3 sizes so I found one that fits my ear perfectly. I take the silicone tip off from time to time and wash it. There is a slight background noise canceling effect so I can hear them better without having to blare the the sound and ruin my ears. I can still hear background noise so I feel safe running, it's just muted a bit so I can hear my music/podcasts more clearly.

They also sell a slightly more expensive sport version (SIE2) that comes with an armband.

    Overall, highly recommended.
