OK I am now 13lbs away from my own final goal BUT even tho I'm now wearing way smaller sizes  I'm beginning to think maybe I should adjust the goal a wee bit lower :blushing:
My stats ... I'm 5'7" and currently 163lbs I have a goal of 150lbs (it's been a LONG time since I was that :blushing: :blushing: :blushing: )
So I'm being brave now :noway: and posting a piccie taken today (albeit taken by someone who is nervous with digicams not the best pic lol aka my dad  )and asking you if you wouldn't mind to be BRUTALLY honest with me ... Please don't hold back I CAN take it  :flowerforyou:
I will say I still want to tone up a wee bit more and once my swimming gear arrives will be hitting the pool 2 hopefully 3 times per week  (only learned on my recent hol so don't want to lose that)
OK ... here goes the dreaded piccie lol
Thanks so much guys appreciate any replies :drinker: :drinker:

doesn't work?0

I can't see the pic, but I would suggest you get to goal first then re-evaluate. It's surprising how different 13 pounds can look and surprising how danged hard it is to lose the last 5 when you are close to where you should be.0
-
I think you look wonderful!! but no one else can tell you how much you should weigh.
Unless it is your doctor and even then it's still up to you0 -
you look great from what I can see, however it's hard to tell because you're dressed in all black so your clothes blend into eachother & you can't really see your shape or size!! However, that outfit on you looks fabulous.0

I agree. It was the last 10 lbs where I really started to notice a different. I can't see the pic but each frame is different. Do what is comfortable to you. That is what matters.0 -

Tried to fix it, PB sucks for photo hosting onto this board0 -
I agree with Jill. Get to goal first, then re-evaluate. If you need out input when you do that, post pics again, but not wearing all black. It will be easier for us to give you feedback that way. BTW... you look TERRIFIC in that outfit!0

I guess you are more interested in guys opinions..definitely, .you look great now!
If you can get it down to 150, then you will be amazing!
(my sincere opinion, as you asked, the truth and nothing but the truth..)0 -
Honestly...you look really great!!!
5'7'' is a great height to help hide weight as it is (not that you want to be hiding), but I think around150 is a good goal. I've heard that on average women should weigh about 100lbs at 5 foot and then should add 5lbs for each inch over that, but of course every women has a different structure and build. It would be easier to tell your shape better if your arms weren't in front of your hips/waist so much...but you really do look good. Anyways, just shoot for whatever you feel best at0 -
I agree ... your dad takes bad pictures  . It is hard to tell due to the outfit, but I cheated and looked at your pics in your profile. I think that the goal of 150 lbs should be your current goal. once you get there you can decide if you want to stay at that weight or move on down the scale.
but do keep up the great job and I love the pic of you and your mates at the pub... you all look very happy (or drunk)0 -
You seem to have layers on, like a blouse under a sweater? So hard to tell. I would say you don't need to lose more than another 10lbs or so, but agree with the others - wait til you get there and re-assess.0
-
You look great! But I agree with everyone, go ahead and get to that goal, then see what you think.
(Am I the only one LOVING that heart-shaped food dish on the floor?)0 -
You look great but remember when you get to you target you need to keep on with the calorie control .. just maybe up your daily intake by 500cals. I would go for a maintenance diet and focus on working on muscle tone - in the end its exercise that buffs up the final look. Then after you have had a maintenance period re-assess your look and maybe set a new lower target.
j0 -
Definitely reach your goal and re-evaluate but if you are working on a healthy lifestyle and not just a diet I would just let the chips fall where they may. Past experience has shown me that you don't really know how much weight you can lose until you lose it. I think if you maintian what has hopefully become healthy lifestyle choices you will be very pleasantly surprised with where you end up.0

You runined my "wanting to be honest moment I had a few comments with your first pic, then you had to post the second one. So Honestly, lets see, you can work on your smile a bit (looking a little grim) maybe something with the hair, but your bod seems pretty darn good. I don't have a really good reference to work from but your a beautiful young lady, My irish lass0

Ahh Larry you little sweetheart thanks buddy emm now I WANT to know what your comments were gonna be lol
Yeah I have always hated the camera so smiling doesn't come very easily working on that one :blushing: ummm the hair *bop* that's my pride n joy lmao might need a retouch tho after the hols :blushing:
The "bod" thanks in my mind still a good bit to go maybe those last 13lbs and toning up will cover that or close to :blushing:
You say the sweetest things :drinker: :drinker:0 -
I think you look wonderful as you are now . I really don't know why you would want to lose more.0
-
you look great as far as i can tell. but you are the judge of how you feel and what you think you wanna go to. if you want to get more thinner and leaner then yes set the goal to what you think will be a good reasonable goal. but you are doing great. im wooting for whatever decision you make.0
-
Thanks :flowerforyou: I'm not there yet I'm basing this on the BMI as shown here on MFP don't think my frame would suit the lowest so kinda trying to shoot somewhere down the middle
Your BMI is: 25.5
Target weight range: 118.1 - 159.6 lbs
It's been many years since I was Ire/UK size 12 which I have now reached after a lot of months with ups and downs but since I got here without too much pain I am thinking maybe I'll try for size 10 but again it all depends if I can carry it :blushing:
I actually found an old pair of size 10's that I kept for when I got the old figure back but it might be too thin for me now :blushing: I don't want to be too thin and look sickly :noway:0 -
You look Great! I think maybe its about time to start on your toning up now and yes it will make you Gain weight at first just remember you are gaining Muscle and it weighs more then fat!! Once your body gets more used to the weight training you will loose more fat and it will be replaced with lean muscle mass!!! I only say this because its easier to make fat in to muscle than it is to loose it all and then tone up!! You do look great and if you wanna continue after you get to your goal then by all means do it but 10lbs can make alot of difference!!!!0
-
off topic but ... is that a george forman grill on the counter
the outfit change does make a diffrence. you look good, now smile next time or I will mock something else in your kitchen.:laugh:0 -

Good luck to you, not sure what your before photos were like but you look terrific now, the clothing layers make it a big tougher to see but from this photo I think you've done great.
Becca
Oh! I like the 2nd pic too, it shows more of you, great photo0 -
I think you look healthy and great the way you are. If you feel like you could tone up some more, then go for it. There could be "stuff" hiding under your clothes we can't see so you'd have to be the judge of that.0
-
You look gorgeous ,I detest having my pic taken ,I seem to be unable to smile if theres a camera in a 100 yard range lol
I noticed the lovely pink heart bowl ,now I see 2 lol0 -
I know how you feel! I am also 5'7" and when I started losing weight my GW was 150lbs. When I hit 150 I still wasn't happy with my shape (legs and stomach, mostly) and felt like I needed a little more toning... It really has everything to do with your personal shape. Some women look amazing and very healthy at 150lbs, others (like me) still look overweight (even though I'm active and healthy, grrr). How and where you carry your weight makes all the difference.
For the record, though, I think you look FAB in those pics and you have a gorgeous feminine shape. You look very lean to me and you haven't even reached your goal! Wait until you hit 150 and see how you feel Best of luck meeting your goals!0 -
It seems you managed to grab everybody attention...well here I go again. As said, you definitely look great now and at 150 and some weight training you will be absolutely amazing (as someone pointed out..). I have to say that this 10 extra pounds are the hardest...because you will also need to eat accordingly (more protein, less fat, less simple carbs..). Is the extra effort worth it? I cannot make that call for you, but it happens to me that as I work towards a lower body fat %, I feel much more energetic and my body feels clean...and on top, I keep looking better and better....0
